Ok firstly glad he is ok and no one else was involved. Clearly has poor judgement and is not experienced to drive like that. 1) shouldnt have had dsc off not that it would have made a difference 2) shouldnt have been going that fast and its made worse the fact he knew the roads.
His mate up ahead brakes before the bend as should he have. I would really like to know how fast he took that corner because I have first hand experience taking a corner that tightens up TIGHTER than that one and when you back off quickly once you realise your in the shit it upsets the balance with rear getting light and you overteer. It looks like he was still on the gas (even just feathering) as it started understeering early. Even if he did back off to try bring it in the rear would have gone over cliff as he was just going too fast. |

Leave DSC ON unless you are on a track or in a closed area and want to lay rubber. These are the only areas to turn DSC off. Learn from other's mistakes guys. I also 100% agree with all the peeps saying that it is unacceptable to drive at speeds that necessitated crossing out of his lane. |

This video would be really cool...if the guy was on a track.
You don't look cool when you endanger other people's lives. A guy I went to high school with was doing the same thing in Boston with an M3 back in 2003, when he took out another car head-on. Two young women were in the car. One of them was killed instantly. Her memorial website is here: http://christysfund.com/index.htm In the 10 years since then I've gotten my college degree, two graduate degrees, been to 20+ countries, met my girlfriend, etc... etc... and still drive a BMW every day. My old high school classmate still drives a lunch tray to the state penitentiary cafeteria and his parents probably drive a Honda after the ginormous civil suit they lost from the family of the woman that was killed. Which one of us is cooler now? |

Blows my mind in 2013 we still have roads like this without barriers where this can happen. Dumb ass for sure, but roads like this shouldn't exist in this country.
