I preorded the game from Hakuyo today. They gave me a receipt ticket showing Jan 1, meaning I don't think they know when it'll be released either.

I ordered the "Special Racing Pack" which comes with a 300 page book and some other extras for about $10 more. Too bad it's not available outside the US, the book looks gorgeous.

The "Special Racing Pack" should be somewhat similar to the "Collector's Edition" that sell in US. Not too sure if the 300 page guide "APEX" is the same as the one going to be sell in Japan. But the stuff included should be more or less the same I'd guess.

Wow just looked at the track list and the car list. This game is a huge let down. They had 6 years and all they came up was with this? There's like 5 premium BMWs. No 335, no audi s4, s5. Why would they include a freaking VW bus and not put these cars in?

The reason there isn't a legit Porsche is because Porsche itself wouldn't give them a licenses to use their name. Don't blame GT5 for that. They finally got McLaren in true form!

Sort of. From the beginning stage of an RUF car it starts as a Porsche, but then they are completely stripped down to the bare bones chassis and RUF builds their own independent work into the car... so technically it is not a Porsche. Is that what you were asking?

the list is not the best, but i agree there are plenty of other great cars in it to have fun. hopfully they add better cars in down the road.
