You can see it a lot on this forum. There are a lot of spoiled, coddled men who act like girls when it comes to becoming very emotional, impulsive, irrational and catty. It turns my stomach. I can't stand being near a grown man who acts like a girl.

I am a somewhat emotional person.. kinda.
Last night I thought logically. Nothing like good rough anger sex [.. if it's there, use it.]

I can't tell if you're implying this is what I think, but either way I couldn't agree more. Usually people that physically fight to solve confrontations lack maturity. This also goes along with people that use curse words when they can't think of the word they're looking for (wonder if there's a correlation?). Aside from that, not sure why you listed what a man is, but I can say you are correct. As for Miatas and convertibles, they can also drive 328i verts |

Second, IDGAF if chicks see through me, behind me, on top or on bottom, I am who I am and my girl is one of the few woman on this planet that would matter anyway. I'm sure you've seen the quote: "Real eyes realize real lies". |

The phrase "when men were real men" or derivatives of this, especially in reference to previous, war fighting generations, is borderline offensive, especially to those who fought in wars. Anyone who thinks our veterans would prefer to have their kinship fight in a war, for the sake of "becoming a man" is either ignorant or spawn from meat heads who never actually grew up themselves. The fact their kids and grandkids have thus far been less likely to fight in the conditions many of them did should solidify, even validate participation in the wars they wars they fought in, but seeing this necessity continue is far from their desire. Invariably, this phrase seems most prone to use by younger generations in some romantic hearkening after watching a Hollywood glorification of combat. Manual labor, similarly, is not definitive of anything other than the type of labor one does. Is working construction a tough job? Physically, very. Are many desk based professions equally challenging intellectually? Of course. All this tells us is one person creates more value for themselves (and thus the economy) utilizing varying proportions of their physical and mental capacities - one is not more a man than the other. At least in the company I work for, it's somewhat ironic that office employees will occasionally muse that it must be nice to work outside on a nice day, do an "honest" day's work, with an obvious, tangible result. Ask any field techs how they'd like to spend a sub-zero day in a heated office rather than on the roof of a skyscraper, they'd gladly take it. The grass is always greener... |
