It is for sale because people buy it. It's ends production in about two months anyway, so don't get your panties in a bunch over it. For it's target audience, it was a good car.

Was the target audience idiots? Lexus makes plenty comfy for around the same price.

that's a ripoff! I paid $41k with extended warranty on mine, I think it's holding value pretty well. I'm going to trade this straight up for a 911 this weekend

That's hilarious. They must not be losing any customers to not want to update it. I mean, c'mon, they could easily put the 5.0 or the TT 3.5 in there.

The Towncars are very popular in NYC. Some of are rocking 1987 Nissan Maxima 15inch rims & can out handle many cars.

Well to be honest NYC cabs (and cops) have been switching to other cars for quite some time now. We have Altimas, Malibus, Priuses, Escapes, even Siennas as cabs now (except Escape and Sienna).
But these motherfuckers are still all over the place. Shit, even now I just looked out of the window and for every Escape there are five Town Cars |

In nyc if you are a VIP and you want to blend in you get a town car. If you get a tlc license and want to drive a car service its going to be in a towncar. They run for 200k require only basic maintenance and parts are extremely cheap and easy to acquire.
