the anesthesia they put you under is pretty mild compared to the shit they give you for a real surgical operation. you should'nt get sick or anything from it

also, the pain afterwards is overrated. The bottoms will hurt more (they're closer to a major facial nerve in your jaw). They gave me 20 5/500 hydros (vicodin) and i took 5 immediately after i got home, then saved the rest for a rainy day

I stayed awake but mine weren't impacted. I was fine and out of the house doing things later that day. Best of luck.

i got all 4 wisdoms taken out in one shot, 2 were really impacted.. i got put to sleep and i woke up in the middle of taking the last one out

Bumpity bump because after the wussy OP made this thread i got a dentist appoint and then finally had the top wisdom teeth taken out; bottom's had already been taken out since they were the only ones to hurt.

Got some Oxycontin...seemed a lot stronger than Vicodin..not bad.

I mean oxy is for severe pain. Everybody works differently and has different ethics but personally I think its a bit strong for pulling a couple wisdom teeth. But hey, whatever floats your guys' boats.

I got four of mine removed.

I didn't take a pill or get a CRNA/Anaesthesiologist to put me to sleep, but I can understand how things can be painful.

Sometimes they can't pull the tooth out as a whole, and that's when the procedure becomes a bitch :\

EDIT: I'm so glad I'm done with this, and I guess if you're a hippy you'll appreciate the vicodens they'll prescribe you after! Enjoy!
