Anyone drink tawny ports?

I had a 10 year old tawny port last weekend and it was delicious but I don't know what brand it was.
Anyone recommended any brands to try out that would be below $30 a bottle, doesn't have to be 10 year old or anything.

Either Taylor Fladgate 10 yr or Graham's 10 yr will be adequate. For the Taylor the upgrade to the 20 yr is worth it. The huge step in price from there to the 30 yr and 40 yr are slightly over-rated imho.

My favorite tawny port is actually by Penfold's called Grandfather's. It's a little more expensive but as good as anything I've ever had.

For cheaper Port (under $30), I recommend:
Fonseca Bin 27
Yalumba Antique Reserve** (not technically a "port" since it is from Australia....)
Taylor Fladgate 10 year Tawny
Graham's 10 year old Tawny

If you want to spend more:
Taylor Fladgate 20, 30 or 40. 40 is spectacular, but also $115/bottle....

While not "tawny", any of the "vintage" ports from Fladgate, Graham's, Dow or Fonseca are also quite excellent (with stratospheric price points to match.)

**Many years ago, I was able to buy Yalumba Clocktower Tawny at the local Safeway for $10/bottle. It was incredible stuff, on par with Fladgate 20. I sure miss those days...

What time frame should the bottle be finished after it is opened? I'm assuming it would last longer than wine because of the higher alcohol content.

Taylor 20/30/40 yo are very nice, I like Heitz Cellars Ink Grade as well(@30 a 750ml) as is any Port from Prager Port works (not sure if you can get those at retail stores). Good cigar good port good night in my book. Ports can stand a long time as they are fortified but do store correctly even temps no direct sun etc it still is sort of a wine. Damn it's 9AM and now I want a glass of port and a cigar. Gonna be a long day!

I've never had a port. But I like exploring alcohol and woman. Time to buy a port this weekend.

Thanks for the input. I picked some cheap port at the local store to try it out, they didn't have anything that I recognized.
Me and a few friends are planning on smoking some cigars and drinking some for St. Patty's day tomorrow around noon.
