Official curb weights:
C250 (1.8L turbo 4 cylinder)- 3,419 lbs 0-60: 7.1 secs C350 (NA 3.5L)- 3,562 lbs 0-60: 5.9 secs Vs BMW listed specs on website: auto 328i- 3,428 lbs 0-60: 6.8 secs DCT 335i- 3582 lbs 0-60: 5.5 secs The C coupe has exactly the same wheel base as the 3 series coupe @ 108.7 inches but about 1 inch less head room front and back. On the road, this car almost has the same dimensions as the 3 series coupe too. Length 180.7 Width 69.7 Height 54.8 I wonder if the new amg coupe will weigh about the same as the M3. If Kia can get away with lifting almost every design they have, I don't see why Mercedes can't.

I like it. You guys can call me crazy, but I don't see the resemblance with that desperate housewives Honda. The Benz looks dynamic and well proportioned, the Honda on other hand looks heavy and frumpy. |

looks better in promo shots than in actual normal pictures. I'm disappointed.
A5/S5, e90 w/Aero > this I don't see it's purpose other than to be a poseur. "Almost a real Merc!" where the e90 and A5/S5 stand alone as world-class cars. idk, guys.

sorry, just not feeling it.
the C63 is a different matter entirely, but the rest of the C-Class is forgettable. the Class people settle for when they can't get an E or better. Hell, I even remember the commercials from when they introduced the C. Like they had to reinforce that it really is a Merc. lol!

People settle for a 128i because they can't get a __________. People settle for a 328i because they can't get a __________. People settle for the A4 because they can't get a __________. Etc., etc.. All mfgs are expanding their lines to fit all demographics and all consumer desires. Merc also make the A and B models. Do people buy them because they're making a compromise and can't get an E Class, or maybe because they want a B Class? fwiw, my neighbor is filthy rich and his huge house overlooks the Pacific. He drives a C Class. He didn't "settle" for one, he just wanted a small decent car. He spends his money elsewhere. |
