Check out Top 20 Selling Cars
Top 20 Selling Cars
1) Honda Accord 2) Toyota Camry 3) Toyota Corolla 4) Chevrolet Impala 5) Nissan Altima 6) Honda Civic 7) Ford Focus 8) Ford Fusion 9) Toyota Prius 10) Hyundai Sonata 11) BMW 3-Series Coupe 12) Pontiac G6 13) Chevrolet Cobalt 14) Dodge Charger 15) Ford Mustang 16) Chrysler 300 17) Dodge Caliber 18) Chevrolet Malibu 19) BMW 3-Series Sedan 20) Mazda3 *Sales data shown is of top 10 selling cars and trucks as compiled by Autodata Corporation. Whats interesting is that Half the cars on here have Sedans and Coupes that they group together.(Example:Honda Accord has a coupe and sedan. The ranking does not say Honda Accord Sedan, just Honda Accord and Im sure they also included the coupe in this figure) However, the 3series is the only series group they broke into Coupe and Sedan. Since 3series made the list twice apart, I wonder where they would rank together. |

are these figures for the U.S. or worldwide, while it is great that so many think the 3 is a great car, im having trouble believing these figures, also it kind of loses its rarity if its true

Considering the Auto grouping, It would have to be US...I just did a cut/paste from an online article. As far as the rarity, the Coupe is brand new and is going to have more orders/deliveries while fresh. Regardless, BMW like everything else in the world today is a mass market product.

Yeah, the streets are flooded with the sedans since they've been out for a minute.

Here in norcal, we usually only have sedans. The coupe population seems to be growing, but sedans are still dominant. Mostly driven by old people too. Not that i'm surprised though.

How was this ranking recorded? Of the amount of each model sold a year? Because I am sure there are definitely more 3 series sedans than 3 series coupes!

Yup, I have a very hard time believing that the coupe outsells the sedan. I think it would be more reasonable to believe if their relative positions on the list were in reverse order.

I don't. The Coupe is the way, the one, the only.

Personally, i'm a little pissed that the 3er is so popular. yea yea its a great car but its nice to have something that you don't see all over the place. When i buy a car, i want it to stand out, not blend in and just be looked at as "normal"
