They try too much to be funny, but they just aren't. It just makes the viewer feel awkward..

Just finished. I'd give it a 6.5-7/10.
My gripes: - They need to do more with the cinematography like the UK version. Something about it seemed off to me. More like they just used sweeps and zooms instead of the sweet filters and effects of the UK one. - Less scripted. There seemed to be a few awkward pauses as if they were trying to remember their lines, or maybe they aren't comfortable yet with each other and need time to develop a connection. - Have introductions for the Stig and music in the cars. - Rename the damn corners for the track. Fucking teardrop? Invite Tom Cruise on just so he can crash in that one corner and you can call it Cruise or whatever. I think Tanner is a great fit for the show, Adam not so much as he doesn't seem like he knows as much about cars as the other two, and Rutledge is ok. I think Tanner should have the lead "Jeremy" role since he has the most auto experience of the three. It wasn't bad though, and I'll keep an open mind. TGUK sucked in its first few seasons, so there is potential here.

"Teardrop" is like the reverse of "hammerhead" (which got a much cooler name)...
