Look at this dummy - (pic)

Drivin' to work today I saw what I thought was a 7 Series for a second.

Did a double take and this Accord had slapped on these fake 'trunk lights.'

I mean, am I analyzing this wrong?

I see your point.

But they are not reflective strips.

They have chrome-like plastic on the bottom and they aren't reflecting anything in the first picture.

I kid.

Its a Honda.

Hyundai pretty much raped all Mercs design cues from the late 90's and use them.

I know tell me about it.

Have you seen the new Lexus HS250 (the hybrid)

They ruined that car; looks way too much like a Corolla.

EDIT:

That's uuuuugly - Doesn't have the flair most Lexus' do and it does look just like a Corolla!

If you want a luxury hybrid - Fisker

EDIT:

That's because it is a Corolla, just like the ES shares the Camry body.

Go to the Honda website. All 2011 Accords now have those strips on the trunk from the factory. It was part of the "facelift" for the Accord for this model year.
