I was kidding. ONTOH, I think any state school is like that. While some are actually good, due to being a state school they have to take in the crap along with the good. At the state school I went to we had everything from intellectual neurophysicists to "gangsters" who straight up broke into dorm rooms to steal shit and flat out robbed people on campus.

i dunno, there are some state schools that have fairly competitive admissions (reducing the 'gangster' element):
-UVA
-Berkeley
-Michigan

UVA, maybe.
UCB, most definitely.

Basically sums up LSU. All in all this is a good school, I like it. But with good there does come bad.

Michigan... yea Same with Ohio State.

They are both pretty competitive to get into now since so many kids want to go there. Now you still don't avoid the "gangster" stuff because the area around the campuses aren't all that great. But that is with a lot of schools. There aren't great places even down the road from Harvard and Yale.
