Advice for Infiniti SUV brakes

My wife's 08 Inifiniti QX56 is in need of brakes...she has 40,000 miles of mostly city driving...i will be replacing all 4 rotors and pads...

My options are:

1. OEM parts from online discount dealership - $544
2. NAPA selecting "Ultra Premium" rotors and premium ceramic pads - $635
3. Tirerack using "powerslot cryo treated" rotors and ceramic pads - $751

Any suggestions and thoughts...

I drive an 06 g35 coupe, had good luck so far with Akebono pro ceramics and a lot of people seem to like Centric premium rotors, might even be what Napa uses for their "Ultra Premium" line. OEM pads, at least on my coupe didnt last and would dust quite a bit, I'd avoid them.

OEM. You will not notice any difference with any other setup. Plus it's an SUV driven by the wife she's not going to race it.

i just did the same for my moms acura rdx. i got oem rotors but got different pads (akebono act pro ceramic). go to partsgeek.com and see what they offer. the ebc pads are great but only had fronts available so i ended up going with the ake and couldn't be happier.

i tend to agree...however the brakes are a known weak spot on this suv...especially for the 2004 to 2006 model years

OEMs warp on this car, they have a known problem w/it. When I looked into it a couple months ago, most people had good things to say abt rotors from R1 concepts and Posi Quiet pads. I still have OEM rotors w/Posi Quiet pads and I can't say it's any better/worse than OEM. TH Motorsports also has Slotted Powerslots for cheap (fronts for my '08 were $240 shipped). Adam over there is great to deal with.

I was thinking about the R1 based on some members at clubarmada.com recommendations...however, i was concerned that for a rotor that was slotted and cross drilled that they were too inexpensive (meaning cheap)

I wouldn't consider drilled + slotted for our cars. I looked into R1's "premium" slotted only rotors and they seemed to be in-line w/over all market pricing. Had I chosen to replace all, I would've gone w/buying Powerslots from Adam at TH..the guy knows his stuff.
