How fast your life can change.

I lost my grandfather who was 94 earlier today who passed away in the hospital. He was in good health and then all of a sudden life takes a change and in this case for the worst. It's very hard to loose a family member, my case he was in a hospital 2,000 miles away and I was unable to say goodbye. That hurts the worst.

What I have learned from this is to spend as much time as possible with your loved ones, as you never know when they will pass away.

I lost my grandmother in similar fashion 2 years ago, 65 years old in good health. I was 30 miles away in class when i got the call, worst night of my life because she was like my mom. Grew up Living next door to her, it took me awhile to get over it. Cried like a 3 year old boy for days.

i would post a song that means a lot to me and would you too, just dont want you to get upset. But if you do want to hear it ill post it.

Sorry to hear that man, I know it's tough.

Happened to me to with my Mom's father. I was in LA and he was in Illinois... Wasn't able to get into town until about 2 days after it had happened.

Very true. I have never actually lost anyone before until 3 months ago I lost my friend. It's still hard to deal with it. Just makes you realise whats important in life and whats NOT important.

I'm sorry to hear that. My grandparents live across the street and I dont see them hardly as much as I can. No matter how much you see them though, I don't think any of us will sit there and say we spent enough time with them. We are human and will miss them. My condolences go out to you.

Condolences.

I you don't mind my saying, he had a long life.

Personally, I'd rather go quickly than linger in bad health.

I'm sorry OP, losing a loved one is extremely hard. I'm glad to hear you have a support system.

I don't talk about it often, but I have also had a lot of loss in my family, my twin brother when I was little and my mom two years ago this November. I know nothing matters more than health and happiness. Spend time with those you love and enjoy your life.

He was in good health and then just had the stroke that sent him to the hospital.

My grandpa also passed away in late august, he meant soooo much to me, while my mom came to the US, he took care of me and my brother for 6 years till we came here. I dont wanna say he was in great health, cause he was the type of person that ate everything and said "fuck it you only live once". but the thing that hurts me the most is that my mom couldn't make it to his funeral cause of the fucking immigration laws our country has at the moment, she hasn't seen him for 10+ years

Sorry for your loss also, i know how you feel man, at least they are in a better place.
