I read some article long time ago on a S4 where it did 0-60mph in 1/4 mile in 12.9 seconds. I don't remember which magazine was it...maybe it was roadandtrack as they always get some pretty optimistic times ...

My buddy just got his not too long away and its a gorgeous car inside and out. Audi did a great job on the new S4

The new S4 is a remarkably fast car which many underestimate because of their past experience or limited knowledge of it's quattro system thinking it saps a lot of available power and it's small power unit with only 335ps should be underpowered to pull such a large heavy car ............. oh how wrong they are. This car amazes me beyond any other, including my M3 I owned previously, with the M3 I expected it to deliver on performance and it did, after all it's got 420ps to play with but the S4 is proving to be not that much slower in the real world and though it doesn't have quite as polished a chassis as the M3 (few do) but it is still able to corner just as hard and stop just as well.

I know pricing plays a big part in comparisons and it the UK the difference is probably much bigger than the US but in my humble opinion the S4 is the performance bargain the M3 use to be, and no doubt the 1M will be again.

Man I have just read the thread 'M3 vs S4', and I thought everyone felt I was the trouble maker, the bitching going on there is unreal.
