What the..(C&D) comparison F458 vs 911 turbo vs SLS vs r8 V10 vs vantage V12

911 turbo S 0-60mph 2.7 seconds and 1/4mile 10.8@ 128mph.....is that quick or what????

911turbo S vs F458 Italia vs R8 V10 vs Vantage vs SLS AMG

Even though the 911 turbo is quick, I'm in love with this TOY

The Turbo S is an incredible car. I really wouldn't mind having any one of those five in my garage though. What the V12 Vantage and SLS AMG lose in performance against the Turbo S and 458 Italia, they more than make up for in the exterior styling department.

I'd take the GT2 RS, but that is OT... turbo S ain't bad for a DD, but apparently it lacks the passion and emotions of italian cars

R8 - audi - quattro - no thanks

Aston - nice styling, but performance wise, no where near the lot

SLS AMG - Emotion-less, otherwise a nice car

For me the winner is the Italia OFC... they should have maybe included the Gallardo...

At this price point, I want something more than just numbers (or else I would get a GTR)

personally i would get an aston martin dbs over any of these. it trumps everything here in the look department, sound good, and fast enough for 99.9% of people out there. and yeah, flame me if you want but i would get it in auto because when I pay this much money, i want to cruise around in style and don't have to do any of the shifting nonsense.

I'd like to see how the McLaren stacks up in this comparo. Still, I'd go with the 458 (at least until the Scuderia/Challenge Stradale version comes out).

First it'll lose in the styling category....the MP4-12C overall design seems very conservative and subtle....

Amazing performance from the 911.....
Not surprising when u consider that the Panamera Turbo was tested at 3.3 secs 0 to 100 and 11.8 secs quarter mile......

The article states they wanted to include the Lambo but the dealer wouldn't give them one for their comparison. I wonder why!

I think I'd take the Aston.

That's probably just because I'm old though.

There are going to be some sick deals on Turbo S Porsches in a few years. For example - I saw over on the 6speed classifieds a 2007 997TT with 16,000 miles, lots of options (including ceramic brakes), perfect condition. MSRP was around $160k and the owner's asking price was $86.5k - that's a huge depreciation hit for the owner, but it's an epic bargain for whoever buys it. I bet the 997.2 Turbo S will be under $100k within 4 years.

I'd put my money on the MP4-12c if it were in this comparison.

I feel like the MP4-12C is on a different level from this crop of cars. IMO, a more fair comparison would be between it and the 458 Scuderia (or whatever it will be named), GT2 RS, upcoming SLS AMG Black Series, etc.

the mp4-12c looks cheap somehow. I don't know what it is exactly, but it does.

does anyone feel the same?

+1000.
The upcoming Mclaren lacks in the looks department but the specs are really really impressive. I hope it is all that.
