Actually, the cop probably knows he will be outrun by the bike, so he just called it in on his even faster radio.

this was my first thought too. No way he alone can keep up with the bike. But bike can't outrun the radio. I'd imagine that douche on the bike was arrested five minutes after vid was taken.

doubt it... it's REALLY easy to hide from a cop that doesn't even know where you are except a very general location (i.e. heading south on such and such road)

(And some props to the kid doing the wheelies... not sure it was the fully safest environment, but that was some skill....)

I guarantee if someone makes a habit of running and hiding from the cops, then they will wind up in jail in the very near future.

Agree he has skills on the bike, but doesn't change the fact he's still a douche bag.

as a biker myself (but I don't do stupid shit like that)... I'll pick my battles with other bikers... generally speaking there's about a million other bikers that are a lot douchier than that guy...

1. He was wearing a helmet.
2. There was no traffic around (That I could see).
3. It was a static area that he was 'playing in', it wasn't on a highway or road or trafficked area.
4. He didn't *fly* away from the cop.

The point being what he was doing is illegal and he ran from the cops.

Irresponsible yes, but like freakazoid said, there are many many worse situations and much more stupid things being done than this incident. Granted if he keeps this up he is bound to hurt himself and others if not get himself killed.

because then they have a huge chance of causing a fatal accident. There has been a report of a biker clocked at 286 km/h here on a highway and the cops just let him go.
