Beles (pronounced Bel-Ehez) which I think translates to "gift from heaven"

It's a cactus fruit located in Africa...Eritrea to be exact. I love them! However I think these planets were brought to africa from european settlers via south/central america...they don't exactly taste like the fruits they have.

It's called "custard apple". I really don't expect anyone to know if you were to go into a market and ask for it though.

Clients send us fruits at the office, exotic pears, peaches, strawberries, mission figs, whatever. They're all absolutely delicious, I always take a few the moment I see those boxes in the kitchen. Haha.

I think they're from Harry & David and definitely $70+ / box.

Here in LA, I go to the Farmer's Market for fruits and Bristol Farms, I would say, has the highest quality of fruit available in a supermarket.

Whole Foods has hands down the WORST f-ing fruit I've ever bought in my life, I gave them 10+ chances and every single time I ended up with bad fruits at ridiculous prices.

Whole Foods is an EPIC FAIL where the idiots and morons in the Prius' go to get ripped off and buy Almond milk... Idiots...

ever think exotic fruits that might come with exotic bugs/parasites in them? O.o just a thought but for some reason those brightly colored fruits seem like they would harbor like..centipedes or something...

I have got to say that Mangosteen is by far my favorite in the whole fucking universe, and the fact that it's so hard to find in the states really ticks me off.

When I can't find Mangosteen, my second favorite is Lychee, and the fact that it also is so hard to find in the states really ticks me off some more.

When I can't find Lychee, my third favorite is Water Apple, and the fact that it too is extremely hard to find in the states causes me to not eat fruits.
