can it be identity theft ??? I try to call the # listed here but is a machine no customer service what should I do??? should I call my local police department? the can get the record using the license plate

You write them a registered letter stating that you do not own a car
with that license plate and neither your car was there at the date/time of the citation stating at the same time your car's and your whereabouts. That's about it. And no you don't have to prove anything. It's them they have to prove you owe a car with that license plate or your car was cited at the place/date/time they say in the ticket. |
