Meter maids are not cops. Their job is to find assholes who don't put money in the meters and think their cars and them are better than everyone else and don't have to comply! They have no power until you give it to them.

There are reasons why people scratch up BMW's, ever stop to think about that? Its a hiddious thing to do, "but I understand"!

They do that here in LA also. Granted...not $100, but still a PIA.

But as others have stated....you gotta pay to play.

Now...I avoid meters if I have no plate on. I find a parking lot whenever possible.
