Just an FNG Saying Howdy... And a Thanks.

Well I finally bit the bullet. After about 6 months on the fence and driving everything under the sun I caved and drove a 335i coupe. Signed the paper work the following Friday. What can I say, I was super critical after listening to all the hype and FanBoy "It Walks on water" stuff, I was prepared to buy a G35 Sedan, and making fun of the BMW... WELL HELL, dip me in Bavarian cream and call me a convert.

I knew from previous drives in other BMWs; 540i, 330ci, 325 and M3, that they were solid machines, but I really was just blown away when comparing the "E92" to the competition. Once you factor in the "feel" and the ride, the lack of some bells and whistles is not missed in any way.

It really does just work and feel better on the road. Go figure. First I learn that King Cobra's really do work better than my inexpensive clubs last summer, now this... I was really kinda hoping I could save some cash and label the BMW as Hype, buy another Infiniti and go merrily on my way. BAH, Ah Well...

After a fantastic experience at Seattle BMW, and really getting a feel for the car with the idea of ownership in mind, I was smitten... Giddy as a School Girl. I haven't been this excited since I ordered my last bike. Good Stuff.

I appreciate the forum being here, as long time Admin at www.hayabusa.org I was relieved to find this place and all the relevant information, big help in my decision making...

Still have two question though before the order sends....

1. 6 speed, or Auto W paddles???

2. idrive, yes or no? I like gadgets, but I don't like hassle... Opinions?

Thanks again.

Keith

Oh and 230series wheels anyone? How do we get them stateside?

Currently driving a 2005 RX-8 which is a terrific car, if you're shorter than me. Lots of value, big silly fun.

I really like the iDrive, and 6MT, though I haven't driven with the paddles nor owned a BMW without iDrive.

Welcome!
