Tough choice!
Someone has a free trial. If you don't take it, others will! I will request a complete engine management report, even I need to pay to get it. If you are pay for the report, dealer cannot refuse not to perform it. If there is any unnormal rev for break-in period, I will discuss with Nissan America and ask them to run after the dealership. |

You are paying top dollar for a sports car thats known for tranny issues, also known for the dealership denying service if the traction button was pressed or if the car was launched. They are so anal about that, why shouldnt you be? Unless you are getting a hefty enough discount, find another one with no mileage... That wont be hard to do, just look around.

IIRC, at delivery, Nissans come with more miles on the ODO than BMW's do. I've heard 35 or so being normal. I think it's probably that they don't reset the ODO after testing. BMW's either begin with negative miles on the clock or get reset after they go through their tests at the factory. This is how it was explained to me at the Welt when I picked up my M3 with "1" mile on it.
I don't think they could have possibly hurt that engine since it is connected to an electronically-controlled DSG gearbox. The only risk is that they did Launch Control, but that is still covered under warranty unless it's the LC1 with traction control off. I think the dealer can potentially check for LC use but they will probably not want to. Either way, don't sweat it. Just follow the break in from here on out. |

You are buying a new car. If you need to pay $500 for a report, you can sleep well and proud of you new car. What is the problem? ($500 ~ to 9 tank of gas). Once you have the report, post it in pdf, I believe that there is a lot of very knowledge people in this forum who can help you. Forum reader count on knowledge people opinion and those people become trust source, Gearhead999s, Lemans_Blue_M, ......

Paying a legitimate Nissan dealership for that report is ludicrous. They should include it free of charge for your peace of mind, like any other dealership would.

Wrong section, wrong topic, wrong English. But yes, get the GTR. I'm always confused when I see people buying $80,000 cars posting questions like this.
