Input Please: 8 Day Road Triip FL-NY-FL

Help and Suggestions please

I'm taking an 8 day road trip the first week of July leaving on the 2nd between FL & NY.

The first half FL to NY is planned as a 4 day drive up with a buddy of mine.

For the drive up with my buddy we want to just stop at some cool/fun/interesting stops along the way. He wants to drive up avoiding the highway and chain resturants as much as possible in the hope of seeing more interesting things along the way.

One day of no driving in NY.

The drive back down is planned as a 4 day drive down with the wife.

I have the drive down with the wife better planned out. We plan to take a more scenic drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway, maybe include the Tail of the Dragon with a planned stop in Atlanta to see the Georgia Aquarium.

If a forum sponsor want to sponsor my trip and give prizes out to any forum members that spot us on the up and down let me know

Also any car prep tips? I have a clear bra on the front, so I don't think i need to tape it up.

But really, that's all there is between NY and FL.

i imagine there isn't many interesting things between here and there unless you go up 95 and stop in some of the nicer coastal areas

Definitely hit the Tail of the Dragon if you are going that way ... be sure to run Hellbender while you are there as well ... and while you are up that way I'd check out Helen, GA ... it's a cool little German town
