I'd be pissed.
But I'd absolutely 100% make sure it was him before I F'ed up someone's car or let the oil drain. Imagine if he didn't really do it.....that'd be messed up. Plus, there's thousands of jealous college kids on campus, it's pretty hard to narrow it down. No way in hell I'd be driving a nice car in college. I'd garage it or buy a Jeep.

That's the problem, it's gonna be hard to prove he did it or even find out who did it.

confront him and watch his expressions, you can always tell when you call someone out if they are lieing hiding something, but do it face to face not text or call

My car got keyed twice, once in a parking lot (the whole driver side, from the taillight to the headlight) and the second one was in my college campus (passenger side fender and door). I stopped bringing my car to school. Just claim it under insurance and move on, if it happens again then that when you do something about it.

Ahh I'm sorry to see that man. That's horrible and fucked up!! My car (not a bmw) was keyed from headlights to tail lights in high school and I was so livid. I never found out who did it but if I knew I would have fucked their car up.
Anyhow, if you are confident you know who the guy is, just go up to him and be very blunt. Just say something like "hey why did you key my car? do you know how expensive it's gonna cost to fix?" Of course he will deny it so just have a friend there to be a "witness" or say "a friend of mine saw you do it" and proceed to call that "friend". Be like "hey man he's denying it. could you come meet us up over here real quick? 10-15 minutes? okay np." That gives him time to kinda think things over. Then after 5 minutes or so call up that friend again and tell him "hey remember to bring campus security or that officer that we talked to." Just make up some shit to make him sweat and confess. |

My car got keyed while I was visiting a college campus a while back. There is nothing they can do without proof. You got it bad though, that really sucks. Pay the deductible and look into a good security system for your car if you think it may happen again.
There are cameras you can get that are motion detected and record to a hard drive that are fairly portable. Just set it up before leaving your car on campus and don't tell anyone about the camera! edit: Tell him that campus security has it on video taken in the lot. He will freak out if he did it... bluffing does wonders.

Thanks for the input guys, yea I think I will call him and record the call and confront him and tell him campus security has him on video and if he admit to it, then I got him! In the mean time I am just looking for witness.
