phone went in the vent under the seat
I know this isn't e46 forum but I need help.
I also posted this on e46 fanatic. cliff: phone went through the vent under the driver seat. I need help getting it out. I was driving my gf's car today and my phone slipped out of my pocket and went under the seat. I was going to take it out when I got to my destination but when I looked, my phone was nowhere to be found. I suspected the worst and guessed it went through the vent and went under the flooring. I called my phone and there was small vibration on the floor of the car confirming my suspicion. The phone slipped through the vent and ended up under the carpet of driver side of the floor. I need help taking it out. Is there instruction on taking out the seat and carpeting and the vent? the car is 2001 325 Thanks in advance. |

unbolt it. not that hard. only 4 bolts. move seat all the way back, unscrew on each side, move seat all the way forward, unscrew back bolts. oh and unplug everything in case you have seat heaters or electric seats.

You dont need to remove the carpet. Just unbolt the seat and completely remove it. Then grab a wire hanger and you can fish it out that way. This happened to me w/ a RAZR before.

If all else fails, my family owns a crane rental business, if you drive to long beach, we can hook your car up front to a crane and hoist it up vertically and you should be able to get it out.
