Now explain to me how this party has anything to do with the school, and the list of BSU's demands (which, i suspect, you haven't read).

UCSD has been dragged through the mud and portrayed to the entire nation as some second-rate, white-supremacist-stronghold school by the BSU, the very organization trying to push diversity into everyones throat on every damn corner. What "minority student" would want to come to this school after seeing all that? UCSD is one of the most liberal-tree-hugger places I have ever seen. There is NO racism here. Bitches running around and crying how they don't feel welcome on the Library Walk are so full of shit, it comes out of their mouths.

On the topic of diversity. UCSD is 49% Asian, 26% Caucasian, 13% Latino/Pacific Islander and 1.3% Black. Still think is all white supremacists here?

I was called a racist for calling a black dude a dumb fuck on campus. Situation:

Covered parking garage at school, single lane entry/exit. A line of cars about 20-30 deep are waiting for a kid who can't find his ID (also a garage pass to get out). The line of cars waiting to get out are at this point blocking the "lane" for cars coming into the garage. I hop out and swipe my card for the kid in front of me to get out. He promptly does so. However, at this point an older black dude rolls up through the entrance gate and stops right under the automatic barrier so that it can't close. He has like 2 car lengths of space in front of him to move up.

In order for me to get out, I need to reswipe my card at the entrance and then on the exit. I *politely* ask the guy to move up a bit so that the barrier can close. He screams at me that there's no space. All these cars are just sitting there honking, students getting out to see what's going on, etc. Busiest time on campus.

After unsuccesful attempts to reason with the guy, HE calls the cops "to come figure out what's going on"... This is going on like 20 minutes of the garage shutdown. When he got off the phone, I was like "Wow, you're one ignorant dumb fuck". He calls me a racist...

It's not your race that I hate, it's you. The cops showed up too late anyway, because there was a hick looking dude that rolled up to the guys window and just stared him down for like 5 minutes until he moved 10 inches and we were able to get the show on the road. Amazing.

Fuck racism, it's an easy way out of doing stupid shit and expecting no reprecussions.

"Sticks and stones" my friend, and I don't see any being hurled here.

Words only hurt if one allows/wants them to be hurtful.

If this frat's intention was to be harmful with their party theme, then they deserve the negative press. However, if their intention was all in good fun, than there's no reason to blow it up into something it isn't. You don't see pimps and hos demanding justice after someone throws a "pimp&ho" party, you don't have the Ambassador from Greece demanding apologies for Toga parties, etc. etc.

I have to agree with solefald. Racism is kept alive by the people that call it's name. If black people stopped being offended by the word nigg*r then it wouldn't be used in a hateful manner anymore.

That was just a single example of course, it could apply to almost all racism. There definitely are exceptions though (like completely biased violence). In this instance I think the drunk dude would have called anyone anything, and it was not motivated by race, it was motivated by booty.
