Maybe I am showing my age but I don't dig matte on big and heavy cars, RS5 or the M3 Just give the appearance of being even bulkier than it already is. Which cheapen the appearance and give the impression of a big battling ram rather than a fast, agile, and sophisticated sports coupe. If that's the style, try it on the Dodge Charger SRT8 (See Street Kings.) I think it works well there. Looks like a big pitbull ready to chew someone's head off.
To me the matte adds substance to a car therefore works well on a lightweight supercar, ie Ferrari and Lambo, but on a already substantive car like the M3 or RS5 I don't think it works to the car's favor. |
