The Best Australian Muscle Car

Hey guys, i am a lover of our car manufacturer called Holden it is GM owned but that is only the funding side. Everything else is all Australian. I personally never thought about buying Holden cars up until they produced this new HSV(Holden Special Vehicles) GTS model. It is a beast.

http://www.hsv.com.au/index_eseries.asp

Anyway i have the hardest task of choosing between the GTS or a 335 coupe. I love the 335 but the GTS so nice as well.

sharp looking car, reminds me of an Evo.
6.0L V8 enjoy filling that gas tank.

It all depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking for a aggressive rocket, or a well rounded sports coupe?

It does indeed seem very nice. I'm not certain though it would have the level of refinement of a BMW.

The 6.0 liter in the vette gets 25mpg plus on the highway.

OMG this is a hard decision because i absolutely love aggressive cars and i also love BMW's sports coupe i mean it is a 335. To me i think it all goes down to prestige in the end. Which car do i want to be seen in? Or even more important, which car do i feel better driving in?

How about the seats and whatnot? Which one are you more comfortable sitting in? I've totally discounted the idea of particular model cars before even taking it for a test drive, just because the seats were bloody uncomfortable... I mean... not for me. The Mercedes CLK is a perfect example, when I shut the door it hits me in the shoulder and pushes me towards the centre of the car.

I don't think holden and BMW belong in the same sentence. One is a muscle car for boofheads and the other is a sophisticated european sports sedan. I don't even think cross shopping these 2 should be an option.

I am not familiar with this model but inherited a WH2 Gen III V8 Statesman when I was in Australia and what a pile of shite in every way.

The new e series is a massive leap in technology, comfort, design and performance. If you check the youtube link u can have a look at the design of HSV. The billion dollar baby is what it is called in Aus at the moment because holden has gone all out to compete with Euro cars and in this case it has done so.(billion dollars spent on research and designing new series)
Wheels magazine and other top Aus car magazines have driven the new holden for months and have made conclusions that "it can handle as good as a bmw or even better" . I think you have to update your knowledge on other cars before you start trashing them.
Just to clear this up i was never a big holden fan, never would have chosen holden over anything until they brought this new e seies holden out. I am and always will be a BMW man I never plan to not have a bimmer in my garage but i wanted this new holden or 335 coupe as joy car along with my X3
