I personally would not buy a modded car without knowing the history of the car very well... Although there has not been problems with modded x35i cars reliability, modded cars are going to be driven much harder than a person who does not mod his/her car typically.

When it comes to something like a JB3, you're not really going to know it's been there once it's removed, unless the previous owner was sloppy about it.
I'd avoid a car I knew was modded, but the reality is, it's so common on turbo cars, and so easy to reverse, you really have no way of knowing. I'd say the number of lease returned 335is on the lots that have had a tune on them at one point would be just staggering. |
