The 996 always felt a bit weird to me. Maybe I should've spent more time driving one, but I felt the 997s were flat out easier to push to the limit. Some people swear by their 996s, but having driven them both, my preference lies with the 997.

With that said, is there a reason you'd consider a 997 turbo and not a 997 gt3?

Since I've never driven any of them, I can't comment on that.
Purely based on looks, the 996 GT2. I know I'm the minority, but I actually prefer the 996 headlights to the 997.

i can't speak from experience. i've never driven a p-car.

based off of looks and reviews, i'd probably gun for a 997 turbo. i'm not crazy about any of the 996 models' looks.

I have never driven any of the newer 99X series P-cars either. Going soley off of looks and what some friends have said, I'd say go with the 997 Turbo.

But you found a GT2 in your range?

Do you mind me asking what your top budget is?

I have been looking for months..................

The Techart GTS from the show Super Cars Exposed just went up for sale.

I would get 996 GT3... just because it most pure car among that list.

Then, buy 996 GT3RS parts and do GT3RS conversion!
