I bought my first MINI in 2004.. a Cooper S and in '06 upgraded to a new one w/JCW... The power of JCW and improvements of the model years were great, But this time around I found myself longing for the RWD handling I had in my previous Mercedes.. a '95 C36 AMG and '92 190e 2.6 sportline..

I had a dark silver 2005 MCS that I traded in for the 128i (daily driver prior to that was a 2001 325ci). I loved it but I'm glad to be back to rear-wheel drive.

I've had 6 different MCS from 02 thru 07. I kept my 05 Cabrio but traded my 07 in on the 135i. I purchased the 135i strickly for performance...the styling just happen to be a great plus.
If you are after styling the the 128i looks great but as for performance the 08 MCS will kick the 128i's ass on a grand prix track. All three cars are a great choice...it just depends on your expectations. Call

I have an 03 MCS and will sell after I get the 128. The only reason a new Mini is not on my shopping list is that I don't care for the redesign, in particular the new front end. If gas prices keep going up I hope to get a decent price for my low mileage car.
It's amazing, but there really are no other cars I am interested in. I briefly flirted with the idea of a Z4 Coupe, but I want to buy not lease and the sticker is 10K over my low spec 128 (ED delivery). Can't get a Z4 with ED. |

I traded in an '02 MCS for the 135. However, it was having owned an 01 S4 that really got me excited about the 135. I could be wrong, but the size of the 135 and S4 seem similar. I just hope the 135 is more reliable as blew three turbos with the S4.

We had and '02 MCS and now an '07 MCS -- wife's car. She loves it and I also think it is a very good car. Nice gas mileage!

Donated my '03 CR/W MCS to my wife. Temporarily driving the worst POS possible, to put ourselves in a better financial situation when I buy my '09 TiAg 135i. The incredible amount of time necessary to keep the MINI clean is why I am getting TiAg. I want the 135 to drive, not to obsess about keeping it pretty.

Had an 04 MCS. Got rear-ended last year in it and slammed into the car in front of me. 14K in damage and the insurance company didn't total. After four months of repairs the car was never the same. Would buy another one, really fun little car, but perfectly happy with the 1 vert.
