BMW fans were laughing about turbos and praise the NA I6. Then the TT 3L comes out and everyone switch their tone and laugh at high displacements.

The fact is Infiniti G is the closest anyone has come to cloning a BMW 3. It is not as good in some but way better in other areas.

While the this car is being play a 1 series competitor, it's more about return of Silvia to go against the return of AE86 from Toyota.

But I think it's quite pointless now as people are driving less and kids in Japan are dropping the car culture.

not questioning the abilities of BMW, but some people need to look around before they start cutting down other companies....
It is Honda's business plan to develop great mass market cars. It is BMW's business plan to develop great performance cars. They each focus on this with some blending at the edges (the S2000 is a great performance car, the 3 series is a great long lasting vehicle with better resale value). Honda engineering is not more competent than BMW nor BMW more competent than Honda. They have been given different priorities. It would take many years for BMW to transition to the mass market mentality of Honda and many years for Honda to develop the performance culture of BMW assuming they were ever to try to do so. Evidence of this can be found with BMW winning many engine of the year categories while Honda continues to win consumer awards.

The statement that Honda is leaps and bounds beyond BMW is not well informed.
