BMW M10
BMW has reserved lately three trademarks: BMW M10, BMW 555 and Progressive Activity Sedan.
The recent discussions on the web say that the BMW M10 will be a front engine high speed vehicle. The BMW M10 might get the V10 engine from the M5/M6 developing 550 HP or the 420 hp engine from the BMW M3 E92. These power figures will put the BMW M10 in direct competition with the Audi R8. http://www.zercustoms.com/news/BMW-M...ity-Sedan.html |

The R8 is stunning. BMW would really have to think outside the box to compete with that car on appearance. Anything Z4 like what's pictured above just won't cut it imo.
I'd love to see a mid or rear engine exotic from BMW or MB. I'd be curious to see what either can do. |

Detailing was wonderful, of course, but the general shape does nothing for me. The R8 sounds like a scintillating drive, though, so I suspect if I had the scratch to buy one I wouldn't car what it looked like If BMW makes this car it will be hot, especially if it's priced around the 911/R8 arena, and not Z8 territory. |

i love the disproportioned look of mid engine cars. Just take the Zonda roadster F for example. It's got that fighter jet look and would definitely make it a head turner on the streets. After all, if your buying a 100k+ car, isn't that what you want?

Well the colored side blades are optional I believe. To each his own. The Z8 makes me yawn. I'd love to see a poll on this one. Should we put a 6-pack on it?

Yes, I do agree. Aston's cars are well-proportioned and beautiful to look at.
I didn't post the Z8 as something regarding the highest form of automotive art, but its proportions are far more pleasing than the Audi's. Sure, do a poll--this is a BMW site, after all. I'm guessing the long hood/short deck F/R layout will be a natural |

Rendering of next McLaren mid engine supercar. I'm still all about the cab fwd, it just looks so sick. Buuuuuuut, I agree Aston's are the cleanest looking cars on the road today. I LOVE them. I said this another post, it should be illegal for the DBS to look as hawt as it does!!! But c'mon man this layout is frikkin nice.

Doesn't look terrible
I do like the M/R layout--a MK1 MR2 was my first car, after all. It's very fun and makes for a dynamically interesting auto. I love to drive them, just not always look at them. I'd drive an R8. F/R proportions are simply more classic and result in prettier shapes  |
