Both of those rumors are out of date and have been generally accepted as wrong. Adam Corolla is the only confirmed host so far.

Adam Corolla is a complete moron, lets hope they get some better talent for the other two spots.

They've already killed this show before it even began. If Adam Corolla is going to be one of the hosts then this show has already lost all credibility. That guy should stick to radio..

At least Jay Leno isn't doing it. He might have a lot of cars, but he's not interesting to listen to being that he's not clever, smart, or funny.

The most current info on Gear (US Top Gear) can be found on finalgear.com.

Tanner Faust has been added to Gear.

NBC execs pulled L.A. Times auto writer Dan Neil from the show.

To be fair, Adam Corrolla has a vast knowledge of cars and has an extensive car collection. It is one of his passions. When he is on Kimmel he is very funny.

While this sounds interesting, I will still always prefer the British Top Gear. I just don't see how they can compete with the humor and wit of the original.

forgive the term, but its can't, it will have to be dumbed down for the US audience, most American just would not understand most of the joke in the UKs top gear...

This, also, does not inspire confidence.
I DVR his "Supercars Exposed" show. He's so bland. He never says anything memorable. The whole show is video with him reading from a script using a voice over - you'd think they'd give him some good lines.
Example: The episode when he takes a 'date' hot rodding in a Merc (some smoking hot, spoiled rich-girl) - he supposedly nails her that night. Could you tell?? SO FRIGGIN' DULL.
I hate to say it, but Adam Carolla is (gulp) more interesting.

You're probably right that most Americans wouldn't find them funny, and generally, British comedies are, indeed, not funny. They cracked me up though. Then again, I've lived overseas for 10 years and consider myself 'more worldly'. See, funny.
