G37s or used E46 M3.. had a G35 coupe, loved it. always wanted an E46 M3 until 335i came out.
S5 would be a great alternative but it's quite a bit more expensive than 335i. |

The IS-F is a solid 12 second car whereas the 135i is in the 13's, which is comparable to the IS350. FWIW this thread is kinda pointless since the fact is the 335 is available. The 335 is probably one of the best bang for buck cars out there that combines excellent handling and is mod friendly. In your price category I am with you in that a used M3 may be the best option.

Non-tuned, the ISF will tool the 335i and 135i. Both tuned, I'd still give an edge to the ISF by a hair.

I got a phone call today from my local Audi dealer, looking for business as they are at the moment. Well as I know the guy very well the chat progressed on to the future 'hot' Audis and finally centred on the S4 as he had not long came back for sampling the car against it's rivals.
To cut to the chase, the S4 with DSG and SportDiff will wipe the floor with the competition according to him, and knowing the guy like I do I don't doubt he is telling the truth. According to him the 335i and 335xi were there and the difference in grip and handling the S4 had was remarkable. Expect great things from the RS4 and RS5. |

The Audi A/S5 wouldn't have existed if the 335 didn't come out. And it definitely wouldn't look like it does now if it were out.
I would be driving a Silver/Black BMW Z4 M Roadster. I only passed on it because of the E92 335i. |

There is a lot of similarities between the A5 and nuvolari concept with the obvious exception being the swish along the side.
Anyway, where is this argument going? Does it really matter which was first. Personally I dislike the look of the new A4, finding it too long in the nose, the only point I was making is that according to a friend who has sampled both the S4 and the two 335i versions is that the Audi this time round it clearly well out in front. Maybe not in acceleration but most definitely handling and grip. |
