BMI is 17.7...u actually are underweight...but some people "stress" eat...other people "stress starve"...you sound like the latter...gain 5 pounds is 5% of you body weight and is not a safe or healthy goal for weight gain over one week...with all of the drama in your life...this is not a realistic goal...just my .01 (deflation u know)

Its all about cals in versus cals out. If you eat more than you burn then you will gain weight. No, you don't have to eat junk crap all day long to gain weight, although it will be easier to eat calorie dense foods to eat above maintenance. Also, the kind of weight that you put on (how much muscle or fat) will depend upon whether or not you excercise/lift to provide a stimulus for muscle repair, but at 100lbs I don't think that you really need to worry about that. I've put on 14lbs over the past few months eating nothing but "clean" foods, but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter what you eat just as long as you eat more than you burn (assuming muslce gains aren't your focus or else I would just edit this to say it doesn't matter what you eat assuming you are taking in adequate amounts of protein and essential fatty acids). Go raid your cabinet for a jar of peanut butter and eat a few tablespoons during the day in addition to what you normally eat. 5 tablespoons of PB = 500 cals extra per day = 1lb weight at the end of the week.

Seriously...the goal is to be healthy...not weigh a certain weight...as long as you are having periods you are fine...just put on some ankle weights at your moms weigh in...it is NOT healthy to gain five pounds in a week...please don't add any more drama to you life...gl
