e46 330ci performance pckg or infiniti g35 coupe
My brother is debating on purchasing a 2004 330ci with performance package or a 2005 g35 coupe. Both cars have about the same mileage an price. I know the g35 has roughly 290hp and the bimmer has 235hp. Any thoughts on which is a better car?

you're asking a BMW forum. I'm going to take a wild guess and guess the majority will pick the 330

Considered buying a G35 coupe myself - absolutely HATED the clutch and clunky throw. Too stiff and inaccurate. I did like the interior though. Personally I'd take the BMW, but they're both nice overall.

If it's the ZHP then go for it! It looks really sick with the body upgrades and is so much more of a driver's car.

having owned the e46 zhp (performance package), there's no question that if i were to do it again, i'd buy it again, in a heartbeat.
in 2003, i had a really hard time deciding between the e46 zhp and the g35 coupe. i went for the e46 zhp not just because of what a bmw really is, but because i also realized that the e46 model ages really nicely. if u look at one w/the performance package today, it still makes me go ''daaaaang''. if i saw a g35 coupe.. it just looks bland and outdated. other than that, the handling is not even a debate. the bmw handles better, period. tell ur brother to not be concerned with the horsepower. just look at each cars' 0-60 and 0-100 times. they're comparable, if not even. |

i like the ZHP, but the G35 might be a tad faster, more raw = more fun. i had it, and it did have a clunky clutch, kinda similar to M3's clunkiness but with more noise, i loved the throws on it vs. any bmw for some reason.
i still love the ZHP... idk, hard to decide! but hey.. G35 has less problems than bmw. make sure it doesnt have the oil consumption problem in the engine tho |

I had a silver gray '04 330Ci ZHP and I still miss it despite driving an E92 M3 now. It's one of the best looking BMWs ever made IMO, and it is a perfectly balanced car. It won't be quite as fast as the G35, but it will be FAR more rewarding to drive. It will also look a million times better.
