im over porsche, they're like the other extreme of honda. hold back tech, but charge a bajillion dollars more when it eventually does come out. well, i guess they are better than honda in that it actually does come out...
Could the PDK tranny could be considered a minor tech upgrade too? Or direct injection?

Porsche may be slightly later to the party than others, but if you read the autoblog review of PDK, they've hit the bull's eye. BMW may have beat them to the market with SMG, but that was far from universally well received.

Cayman is pricey,, but I love the amount of room it has. Front"trunk" and the rear hatch , has a shelf and bench.

But the price is too close to a 911,,,,,,,,,,but then your around $70k,,lolol

exactly who am I kidding.....

IMHO the Cayman being mid-engine is so much better balanced than the 911. I purchased a Boxster over a 911 because I hated the way the back end felt on the 911 (like it wanted to step out) where as the Boxster just stuck in the turn.
I wouldn't be so quick as to say the sport sedans will be quicker on the track than a Cayman - (well S anyway).

I agree. I much prefer the Cayman. Lightweight mid engine cars with good power are hard to beat.

Cool

They are both good cars. The Cayman will be more balanced because of the mid-engine layout, but the Carrera is just downright iconic. Owning one would be something you can talk to your kids about (if they're car fanatics).

Yeah, maybe so, but the CaymanS still probably drives crisper, and at the end of the day thats what i'm most interested in.

BTW: Cute kid, but he's going to be upset when he sees that pic 10 years from now.

i wouldnt offer my opinion if i didnt test drive them.

im sure one of the main reasons cayman feels crisper is because its lighter. an MX-5 is crisper than a cayman, but its still slow. 911 still owns the hill at porsche, even if its not mid engined.
