V-Neck Sweaters...what to wear under them?

Well I've been in need for some winter wear this year and decided to add a few more sweaters to my wordrobe. The thing is that I really like crew neck sweaters but its seems as though v-neck sweaters are "in" this year and are the only ones I can find. I realize that many people wear collard dress shirts under them but that's not really my thing. For some reason I feel crew neck t-shirts under a v-neck sweater is a fashion no-no but I am not sure. So I figured I'd by some v-neck t-shirts to wear with the v-neck sweaters and did. Is this the right way to go? What do you guys wear with your v-necks?

Nothing, the v neck shows off the collarbone, and makes you look taller, and skinnier.

wear a collared shirt under a v-neck sweater. since you're already part of the v-neck sweater trend you might as well wear a collared shirt which is also part of the it too.
in my opinion, crew neck t-shirts are fine to wear under a v-neck sweater.

as everyone said...crew neck t, button down collar shirt, or nothing....just tuck your shirt in if you wear a button down underneath, the tail hanging out behind just looks juvenile.

How can something that has been around and worn for decades be a trend?

I've seen people pull off henleys and button henleys as well although I usually just do a button collared shirt
