customized front plate mounting

For those who dont want to drill holes in the face of the front bumper to bolt the license plate, an alternative would be to locate it here instead. You can use a couple simple L-bracket and drill them up into the plastic. I chose to use large magnets which allows the plate to be removed easily, but also going to add another gadget to it for another option to hide it upon demand vs removal.

I like this one better. Especially because you don't have to drill ANYWHERE in your new BMW. It uses existing holes. and all you have to do is pull a pin to remove it. Available for both M Sport and Non MSport versions as well as other vehicles. I would hate to drill holes anywhere in my car.

That is a nice option, however it wouldn't work up here with all the snow mess that would impede those slide mechanisms.
