Where does 0W-12 spec come from? Doesn’t sound like the right grade for the B58 engine. Maybe a typo and you meant 0W-20, or 0W-30? I think I’ve used mostly 5W-30 but also 0W-30 once and I do probably a 60/40 mix of city streets and interstate driving.

I believe the recommended oil for B58TU2 is 0W-20 as you indicated.

It is 0W-12. Sticker under hood shows it. It is what the dealer put in.

Ok thanks. That just seems like a very odd value for an oil grade that historically has been in increments of 10.

If I am not wrong the Service Advisor which I asked about how much an oil change would cost also told me that the oil used is 0W-12.

ToddRGuy can you also check what appears in your work order as the oil that was put in?

I have just left mine also for an oil change (1,268 miles), $136 and a few cents there, I saw the invoice which I will pay when I pick it up.
