This happens to me too, but it's only the passive entry that won't work. If I grab the door handle, the car opens. Does that also not work for you?

Sometimes it takes 10-15 seconds to respond and open if I grab the door handle.

I have tried deleting and re-adding the digital key and also updating apps in the idrive and rebooting.

This started happening sometime last week.

Hate to have to start carrying the keyfob again.

If anyone has any clever ideas it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

It's pretty normal for it to take a little time to open once grabbing the door handle if the passive entry has gone to sleep and stopped listening (such as if you're parked at home and frequently moving into range of the car but not opening the door). Although it's never taken 10-15 seconds for me. More like 5 seconds or less.

I’ll try to be a bit more patient. I also updated iOS tonight. Maybe that will help.

Thanks.

I would leave sleep mode on especially if you're in close range of your car like for me my car is in my garage and I'm in my basement it unlocks and unlocks my doors so I'd rather the car go to sleep so it's not doing that but your choice

Good question. How do you do that? On phone or in car settings?

It turns off Deep Sleep if you unlock the car with the key fob or open it from the trunk. It's in the manual. However keep in mind in Deep Sleep the alarm is deactivated as well.
