Battery Management Message

Has anyone received this message before? I came out to the garage to go somewhere, and saw this message. It has happened twice - once back in early October, then again yesterday.

Since the occurrences are over 3 months apart, I'm not too concerned, but I wonder what could have caused them.

Never seen it, are you doing anything different when you park?

Mine has done this for months. Dealer had no answers for me.
I haven’t noticed if it has affected anything.

I don't recall doing anything different before I saw it. This latest time, the car sat in the garage not being used for 2.5 days, then when I got into it this message was there. The only thing different I did during that time was un-enroll from the ChargeForward program. I wouldn't think that would use a lot of battery power when the car was sitting idle.

To me, the message means that something is using power (more than expected) while the car is parked. However, if it hasn't affected anything that you can notice, it's probably not anything significant. I'm also assuming it's referring to the 12 V battery, which the 400 V battery recharges during use anyway, right?

I'm thinking it's not a problem, but if I see it again soon, I may take it in for a check-up. Thanks for sharing.

Among the possibilities that might be something under your control (not a problem with the car) is that maybe your fob or phone is waking the car up too much. You might try keeping them away from the car, or experimenting with resetting the app, the phone and so on to see if that helps. I think there was something on here about changing the distance-based lock/unlock settings to help avoid this.

I got this message once and I am fairly sure it was related to me being close enough to the car with the fob very frequently. I'd walk by to take the dog for a walk and notice that some of the button lights were on inside, clearly anticipating that I was going to get in the car, but not if I didn't have the fob. After the message, I attached the fob to a carabiner hooked to the rest of my keychain so I could easily detach it when I knew I didn't need the car for a while but may still needed my house keys. Haven't run into the message since.

Now granted, in my scenario I only saw the message once, so not a lot of scientific process backing up my theory here.

This has now happed 2x in the last week, 2025 iX. First time I had 51% charge and the second time about 60% charge.

Message goes away quickly, once I drive away. Check control messages are clear. Car seems fine.

I have not let my car go more than 1-2 days w/o driving. Weather has been sunny for the most part for the last month, but temps have ranged from 40F to 90F!

I have 5000 miles. Never got this message on my i5 or my past iX or i4.
