Traffic light recognition in U.K.?

For those of you that are in the U.K. and have the “full fat” stop and go cruise control, does your car recognise traffic lights?

I saw a video that schmee150 posted when he took out a M5 for a drive, and it looked like it did

Anyone confirm please?

Hi, am in Kent and it definitely recognises traffic lights when stopped at them and it reminds you to pull away when they go green but not tried it on adaptive cruise. Will give it a try when i get chance. However the reminder to pull away when lights change only works about 75% of the time and it gets confused by traffic lights with turn filters and doesn't recognise some traffic lights at all. Not manged to work out yet why it doesn't recognise all of them.

Hope this helps.

In California, the car recognizes stop signs and traffic lights but doesn't stop at them, or drive off from them when using adaptive cruise control. It will only provide a warning if it thinks you are not going to stop at a red light (essentially when you don't brake or slow down for one). You can test it by braking/slowing at the last minute for a red light.

Don't know if that works the same in the UK.

It recognises traffic lights in the same way it recognises changes in the speed limit. You have to acknowledge and set it from the steering wheel for the car to respond to a traffic light and come to a full stop. It doesn't seem to recognise all types of traffic lights in London at least

Thanks for the responses

Reason I was asking is the previous g30 is capablen of this functionality but to the best of my knowledge only works in Germany
I was wondering if the restriction may have been regulations but if it’s enabled on the g60 that would suggest to me that’s not the case

Interesting and thanks again
