Here's a first clear look at the LCI G60 5 Series prototype:

Regular G60 LCI spied - actually think the Neue Klasse front end might suit the overall body shape better than the pre-LCI look. Hopefully the same will be true for the X3, which also seems to have been designed to adopt this front end from the start.

I'll reserve judgement for now, but I'm a big fan of the current G60 design. It's very reminiscent of the E60 which for me is the best looking 5er of the bunch.

I'm not a fan of the current G60 design, especially its slab-sided profile angle.

That said, the NK facelift does look good, and I agree, it seems like the G60 was designed originally with the idea of the NK face in mind.

Interesting realm we’re going into here. All I hope is that they focus on dazzling design if we’re pushing this electrified era (though the newer interiors leave a lot to be desired). You can’t lose ICE and the good looks.

I too am partial to the current look, we’ll see what the new one looks like once the wrap is removed

The current 5 isn’t offensive in anyway, it just looks incredibly generic from most angles. This could be a big improvement.

I like the current G60 design but I’m a biased G60 owner of course. However I think the Neue Klasse grill fits the angles of the G60 well. Agree with the sentiment that the G60 may have been designed with the NK transition in mind.

Horrible 😂 it looks like a dodge charger, we're tired... BMW don't want to understand so I hope with all my heart it will be a commercial failure

F10 and E39 were the best 5er designs.
E34 and G30 were good as well.

E60 and G60 are both disasters.

Making a more expensive model similar to a cheaper one will not work out well for BMW. However, the 5 Series is a different car to the cheap X3 suv. You can't replicate Mercedes' mistake, where a cheap C-Class looks like an expensive S-Class

I think it will work out just fine if they do decide to go that route.
