954 alloys - can they be rerurbished?
Hi All,
My wheels were damaged during trasport of my car. Normally with standard dimond cut i bevieve wheells can be refurbed. Can somone advise if this still possible on 954 alloys with plastic inserts? Is after repair plastic insert still will be flush with alloys? Is will be possible to match exact colour between them to get my wheels to brand new condition? Many thanks for help. |

That's weird that a new car would be delivered that way. I wonder what happened to it during the transport.
Anyway, I don't have much information about wheel repairs, but there was a thread in here a while back where someone got their wheels repaired and it looked really good. Not sure what model they were though. Hopefully they will respond.

Your Tyres are manufactured in 2018? I am rejecting this shit. There is something definitely shady going on before ur car reached u (hopefully just the Tyres)

Marrecki2007@yahoo.com you don’t say if the vehicle was supposed to be new or used, but if new, that’s absolutely unacceptable. You can see damage to the tire wall as well in one of your pictures, so as others have stated, it looks like someone either drove the car a while and damaged the rims or is trying to swap them out and hope you won’t notice.
Those tires do not look new at all. Also the plastic inserts look like they’ve been pried around the edges or something? I have the 940M wheels and the inserts are not flush with the rim, so I don ‘t think fixing the edge of the rim would necessarily cause an issue with the inserts (they can be removed by retaining screws from within the rims if I recall correctly). Anyway, if you know this car is used then a lot of the comments above might be moot. Last edited by RichardInCA; 01-01-2025 at 12:53 PM.. |
