Rattle behind front dash, anyone with similar?

Now that it's cold here and I'm using the heater, I'm getting a rattle behind the front dashboard (sound like near center or slightly toward the driver's side) that comes and goes. It sound like a fan blade hitting something and fades in and out. Sometimes loud, sometimes not there at all.

I didn't notice this problem at all when using cooling.

Anyone experience something like this and have a solution? The dealer can of course help, but rattles -- usually good to give them a direction

Thanks!

Could be the cooling fan under the charging mat, if it is being used ?

This sounds plausible to me too, but diagnosing these things online is pretty tough.

Sometimes on cars I’ve had, there is a cabin temperature sensor in the dash that has a tiny little fan that brings air in to the sensor, and this can make noise or fail. I think BMW E60 or E39 had one, and Corvette C6 had one (C6 one comes loose from mount and has to be snapped back). I have no idea if the G60 has something like this, but it’s something to keep in mind when exploring. Could also be a cooling fan for some electronics module as well.

Well it's not the wireless charger. It definitely goes away if I turn off the climate control. Adding it to the list for the next time at the dealer. When's that brake recall getting done again?
