Questions Regarding i5 Cosmetic Mods

Just bought a new eDrive 40 and I have a few questions regarding some of the cosmetic mods that are available for this car.

1) I was thinking about putting a ducktail spoiler and came across a couple on eBay. I haven't ever bought "mods" for a car before so I was just wondering if people here have had good luck with eBay or if its something I should avoid. I don't want something to look cheap or tacky but at the same time I would rather not overspend if its minor differences. Also, my car has full matte PPF so would a high gloss spoiler look good? I can't find any matte options.

2) I'm also thinking about front and rear splitters but I was wondering if I would have to drill into the bumper for that or if it would use existing screws.

The guys at AutoID actually just launched a ducktail spoiler (https://autoid.co/products/bmw-m5-g9...y-alpha-n-2024). Looks pretty sick tbh but it is pricey at £1.2k

Very nice looking indeed but I don’t wanna spend more than 300-400 usd.

My opinion is a high gloss spoiler on a matte car would be fugly. It will advertise the exact cheapness you want to avoid. You should PPF the spoiler too so the look is uniform and the spoiler looks like it is a natural part of the car.

I think your right. I just ordered the spoiler and it’s coming in about a week and a half. I’ll post pictures on whatever I decide to do.

Just got the spoiler a couple of days ago. Had a little chip on it due to shipping so unfortunately i have to wait some more time. But I tried a test fit and this is how the car looks with the gloss black spoiler. I think it looks good and matches well with the other gloss black parts.

Thanks for the photos. I agree, I think it looks fine glossy, because it seems to match the other glossy black trim at the bottom and on the wheels, etc.
