What kind of Charger came with your 550e

So does the car come with a Flexible Fast Charger that is adaptable to a 120V outlet and a 240V outlet or do you have to buy an adapter for the 240V outlet?

The email from my CA says I get both. Will confirm tmrw.

I did see documentation that the flex charger 240 is capped at 32 amp so a 40 amp breaker. Most plug in 240 are 38 amp so a 50 amp breaker.

In Canada we only get one adapter the 120V one. I am getting more agitated by the minute.

Garage List
I thought the flex charger was a 40 amp charger (9.6 kW), meaning you would need to use it on a 50 amp circuit. If it is just a 32 amp charger, then it's really only capable of charging at around 7.68 kW. Still pretty good I guess. Now, I want to go to the car and pull out the fast charger from the bottom of the trunk to see what is written on it. Hmmm.

I have a 40 amp level 2 installed in my garage.

Max current 550e can charge is 32 amp.

Good to know. Have you experienced charging on a conventional 120V outlet?

I have not. Even with prior 530e it never seemed convenient. However, with the 530e I could recharge with engine on a trip. Can’t do that with 550e.

I assume it's a big change coming from the 530e, in terms of raw HP and performance.

I’ve only had the car a couple of weeks, but much quicker in both electric and gas modes.

I’ll post more info in a week or two after more time with the car.
