G60 i5 genuine carbon aero kit and 943 wheel set. Aramid fiber inside

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Whew, lots and lots of photos, honestly didn't know what to choose, so I included 3 different sets: part photos, installation photos, and after photos.
A few things I need to mention:

1.The rear diffuser is not made of carbon fiber, but a new material called aramid fiber. Aramid fiber possesses excellent heat resistance, making them suitable for applications involving high temperatures. They can withstand temperatures up to 800°F (427°C) without significant degradation. I'll include a photo comparing CF with AF. Model M60 owners need to replace diffuser upper plate (CBKBMW-DIFFR-00296-BLK on my website) to fit this diffuser, but in this case, 40 model, not needed.

2.The M60 front grille has LED strip on it. If the original grille is also LED version, then this one is plug and play, no need coding.

Garage List
I just replaced my phone case with an Aramid fiber one. Seems nice so far.

Thanks for all the pictures.

That CF kit is 🔥 especially on fire red. Pun intended

I’d love to see it when it’s not so overcast and with the sun out, I bet it’ll look even better 😉

Why is there any heat issue to be concerned about? Where is the heat coming from?

This kit makes the car look magnitudes better. Super sharp! To all engineers who designed it: you are more than appreciated.

This color with the black highlights just reminds me of the Toyota crown. And not in a good way.

Wheels have no dish, they look perfectly flat. Not my style at all.

I second the question, protection from what heat? This car has no tailpipes and appears to have protrusions to block the tailpipes on the regulator ICE car… am I seeing that right?

did you have to drill holes into the front and rear bumper for the splitters or did this use factory holes and screws?

Factory holes. Only the side rockers need to make holes. Kit comes with a template

Right, so the data I have on Aramid Fiber is about the material itself, generally. In this case, I can only think of the heat generated from asphalt haha. But aside from that, it seems that the material is used in the Aurospace industry, and the signal can easily go through it, as it's the same material used by BMW for shark fin cover. This means it won't block any trunk opening sensors

Aramid is more commonly known to the everyday person as Kevlar or Nomex, but those are trademarked by DuPont much like the Teflon is to a PTFE coating.
