2025 938Ms using 2023 846M tires?
The rims are both staggered 20”, but the 2023 tire aspect ratios are 5 less.
Since the 2023 overall tire set diameters are consistent, is there any reason this won’t work? Yes the odometer would be off a little. The 2023 tires are summer performance tires that I changed off to all season. My ordered 2025 has all seasons instead and I could put them on the 2025 before trading it in a few years. Or get a second set of rims to swap during the seasons. |

The old 5-series tires are smaller. You don't specify which you mean, but the sizes I can find show a 3.2% diameter difference ("5 less aspect ratio"), which is a little much. The real problem is the load index. Make sure whatever tires you use can support the weight of the new car.

So I didn’t specify because the rims spec does.
The 2023 are 275/30-20 rear and 245/35-20 front. The 2025 are 275/35-20 rear and 245/40-20 front. ie 5 less aspect ratio on the 2023s. So my question is does the computer care if the diameter is less on all tires consistently. I don’t think it does. |

The smaller diameter probably won't cause a problem. I still recommend double-checking the load capacity. I know the i5 is a lot heavier than any previous 5-series. My i5 has 99 load index front tires and 102 load index rear tires on the 20" rims. The 2023 5-series with 20" rims had 95 and 97, respectively. I do not know if the 530 or 540 have lower load requirements but it wouldn't surprise me.
